On carsession write, Toyota iQ EV is part of the automaker’s short-range, sustainable mobility offensive, and uses a newly developed, flat and compact lithium-ion battery pack in order to have a 65 miles autonomy before having to recharge. And also Toyota iQ EV will begin testing in Europe this year, and if everything goes according to plan, then the production version will enter the market in 2012 through a leasing programme.
Essentially a near-production version of the FT-EV concept, the iQ features a newly-developed flat lithium-ion battery that enables the car to travel approximately 105 kilometers (65 miles) on a single charge. The car will debut alongside the Yaris Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) concept, the FT-86 II concept, and the new seven-seat Prius+.
